Manufacturing Accounting Manager
An exciting opportunity exists for an accounting manager to join a leading, international manufacturing company that has been around for over 80 years.
Job Description
* Responsible for thepreparation and analysis of financial statements and reports
* Oversee the development of accounting systems and controls necessary to deliver best practice accounting services to the organization.
* Manage 1 Corporate Accountant and 3 employees in the Account Payable Department
* Supervise the month-end close process and quarterly reviews
* Prepare journal entries and reconciliation of G/L accounts to ensure accuracy.
* Research variances and other accounting information to appraise operating results.
* Assist in the annual business planning and budgeting process
* Prepare audit work-papers and coordinate annual audits
* Review and enhance workflows and internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP.
* Assist in the maintenance of SRP
* Assist with process improvement and lean management initiatives
All candidates MUST have the following experiences to qualify for consideration
* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting( MBA, CPA is highly preferred)
* 5 years progressive accounting experience
* PleaseDO NOT APPLYunless you have at least 4 years accounting experience in amanufacturing environment
* Experience being responsible for multiple sites
* 3 years experience in a managerial role, ideally managing a small team( 5 or less individuals)
* PRMS/AS400and/or SRC/Business Objects or Crystal Report Writer experience preferred
* Experience with Consolidations and Inter-Company Reconciliations
* High competency with Microsoft Office( Excel, Word, Power Point), Lotus Notes, accounting software and databases.
* The ideal candidate has experience working for a company of at least $100 million + in sales
* Strong team building skills needed to work with associates at all levels in the organization
